Dawg Daze 2011

The University of Georgia Hodawgs present their first annual Dawg Daze Co-Ed Hat Tournament! Dawg Daze 2011 will be held in Athens, GA at Sandy Creek the weekend of February 5th and 6th.

Below you can find a link to the registration website; the fee is $20 per player, but players who register after January 20th cannot be guaranteed a tournament T-shirt. Registration will close the night before (Feb. 4th). Day of registration is available at the tournament site and the fee is $25. Tournament winners will receive a championship t-shirt. Be sure to hurry up and register for this (soon to be) epic tournament!

Howdy! Below is the tentative tournament schedule for the 2011 Hodawgs season:

Jan. 29-30 Florida Winter Classic (Gainesville, FL)
Feb. 5-6 Dawg Daze 2011 (Athens, GA)

Feb. 19-20 Tally Classic (Tallahassee, FL)

March 5-6 Mardi Gras (Louisiana)

March 19-20 Southerns (Statesboro, GA)

March 26-27 Possibly Terminus (Atlanta, GA)

Also we are proud to announce the return of former player Melissa Hovanes! Yaaay more degrees! Melissa was a captain last year, a great thrower and receiver. She's like a frisbee god. Or so this picture from her early frisbee career leads you to believe...

Classic City Classic 2010 Follow-Up

CCC was the first tournament of the 2010-2011 season for the Hodawgs. Unlike Chattanooga last year, Athens, GA (home of the #1 party school- whoo whoo!) was host to beautiful t-shirt weather all weekend. Even with only one day's of practice as a team under our belt, the Ho's still managed to win three games and put up some intense fights against great opponents.

Congratulations to UNC-W on winning the tournament. Shout out to the Tufts girls who were a blast to host at our apartment (Alicia, Emily, and Julia) and play against twice. Before they left on their epic journey back to Boston, they even gave us toilet paper and beer. Best guests ever....?
